CNC Lathe CBN Tools For Machining Slewing Bearing To Improve Efficiency And Surface Finish

Slewing bearing, also known as disc bearing, rotating bearing or slewing bearing, is a large bearing that can bear comprehensive load. It can bear large axial and radial load and
overturning torque at the same time. It is generally equipped with installation hole, inner or outer tooth hole, lubricating oil hole and sealing device.
Analysis on turning difficulties of slewing bearing
1) High hardness. After heat treatment, the hardness of the rough parts of slewing bearing is generally above HRC50. It is difficult to process with ordinary tools, and the
phenomenon of machining immobility often occurs.
2) Large cutting force and high cutting temperature. In high-speed turning, more heat is generated per unit time, the temperature of the contact area between the tool tip and the
workpiece is high, the phenomenon of non wear resistance and low service life of the tool often occurs, and the machining effect is not ideal.
3) There is intermittent cutting. There are continuous or intermittent cutting conditions during the machining of slewing bearing, and ordinary tools are prone to tool collapse,
resulting in frequent tool change.

hardness even at high temperature, and can realize high-speed turning of high hardness slewing bearing.
