1) Stainless steel superalloys are not suitable for processing with CBN tools, but other heat-resistant steels>HRD45 can be processed with CBN tools,
2) Cast nickel base and cobalt base superalloys are very suitable for machining with CBN turning tools.
3) Non superalloy powder metallurgy parts have been proved to be suitable for machining with PCBN tools.
Due to the complex types of superalloys, pay attention to select the appropriate CBN brand according to the different metal element content and process type of the workpiece.
When using CBN tool for cutting, we must select appropriate cutting parameters and tool geometric parameters to make the cutting temperature not too high, control the cutting
force and cutting vibration, and select a machine tool with good rigidity.
