The M content of the high manganese steel is w(Mn)=11%-18%, and has high shape and toughness. In the cutting process, it has the following characteristics:

1) Severe work hardening

2) High cutting temperature

3) Difficulties in chip breaking

4) Dimensional accuracy is difficult to control

Such as when machining the Rolling Motar Wall, the machining efficiency of CBN inserts is about 1.5 times of the carbide inserts.
