Causes of Cracks to the Polycrystalline Diamond Die Inserts
The wire drawing die blank is the core component of the diamond wire drawing die. LINKUT PCD is made of sintered micron-level diamond particles and a binder under high
temperature and high pressure conditions. It has the advantages of high hardness, good wear resistance, and strong impact resistance. The pcd diamond core has the advantages
of uniform wear and long life during use, suitable for high-speed drawing.
The following conditions will cause cracks in the drawing die:
The surface shrinkage rate is too large, resulting in cracks or breakage of the mold. Cracks or broken cracks are mostly caused by internal stress relief. In any material structure,
the existence of internal stress is inevitable. The internal stress generated when drawing the wire could originally enhance the mold microcrystalline structure, but when the drawing
surface shrinkage rate is too large and cannot be lubricated in time so that the temperature rise is too high, it will cause the mold It shows that part of the material is removed, the
stress on the microcrystalline structure is greatly increased, making it easier to crack or break.
