The Drawing Life Characteristics of PCD Die Core
Compared with carbide and natural diamond core, the drawing characteristics of PCD Die core are as follows:
Synthetic diamond, also known as polycrystalline diamond, is a polycrystal formed by non-directional polymerization of many single crystal particles.
It has high strength and hardness, strong impact resistance, uniform properties and good overall performance. When drawing the medium and fine wire,
the life is higher than that of the natural diamond die and the carbide die, and the quality of the wire is stable and the surface quality is good. However, the
polycrystalline grains of synthetic diamond are coarser and difficult to polish, and the surface finish of the drawn wire is not as good as that of natural diamond.
By refining the crystal grains, the polishing performance can be improved. The wire drawing die replaces the natural diamond, which greatly reduces the cost
and improves the product quality.
